Scenario
OSL is a digital asset and blockchain platform business, providing software-as-a-service, brokerage services and automated trading platforms to institutional and professional investors.
The Challenge
OSL needed to redesign and upgrade its Prime Brokerage Trading capability. The release focused on building core features to display real-time streaming prices for crypto-fiat pairs, account position, trading history and the ability to execute instant trades — all at the quality and performance level expected by institutional users.
Our Approach
Pragmateam ran inception sessions to shape the scope and conducted technical spikes to assess development effort. We created new visual designs and built, tested and managed the agile delivery of core features for both desktop and mobile.
The front-end application was built in React with TypeScript, using Material UI for components and Redux for state management, with Web Socket connections for real-time streaming prices, using a hybrid onshore-offshore team.
We also added multi-language support using the i18next framework and provided input on the best approach to integrate new functionality into the existing platform.
