Immutable is a world-leading platform enabling games and businesses to integrate NFT marketplaces into their products. With $280M in funding and rapid growth, Immutable needed to scale its delivery capacity while preserving the agility and engineering culture that had made them successful.



The Challenge

Immutable was growing fast — from startup to global NFT powerhouse — and needed to maintain delivery velocity while the product vision continued to evolve. Scaling the team without losing agility or diluting engineering quality was the core challenge, alongside forming a distributed team that could work effectively across geographies.

Our Approach

Pragmateam built an offshore product team to scale the talent pool and complement the onsite delivery expertise in Sydney. We set up ways of working to support distributed delivery, helped shape ideas into organised backlogs with disciplined delivery cadence, and brought client engineers into the team to share knowledge, maintain IP and uplift skills in new technologies and agile practices. We also set up automated testing and improved test coverage across the codebase.
